Opening Times at Cambridge

Sun 19 Nov. 10am - 3pm
Following a terrifically busy and exciting launch exhibition at The Garage Gallery in Aldeburgh, and Nunnsyard Gallery in Norwich we are delighted to confirm the opening times for the Mini Print Exhibition at Art Space Cambridge this month.
Best in Show winner, Mai Osawa is a Japanese artist who trained as a set designer and is now based in the UK. Her winning piece, Chichester Cross was created using drypoint, an intaglio technique used in preparing metal plates for printmaking where lines are scratched directly into the plate. Thicker lines are made by applying more pressure to the burin (graver) or etching needle. To see more of Mai's work, why not visit her website. In agreement that the works submitted this year were of a very high standard and having scrutinised each and every submitted mini work of art, the judges are also delighted to award Honourable Mentions to 5 artists whose pieces were judged to be particularly exceptional. So congratulations also goes to (below, from left to right)...
...Alison Wagstaffe for Morning (collagraph with 23ct gold leaf); Geri Waddington for Owl (wood engraving); Chloe Cheese for Mementos (etching with stencil); Ian Brooks for Westfield Farm View (etching) and Caroline Whitehead for Small Creature on Stony Ground (waterless litho & etched litho).
